Dr. Martin Moryson has been Chief Economist Europe at DWS since 2018. In his function he is responsible for the DWS Group’s economic European analyses and forecasts. After studying economics at Kiel University, Dr. Moryson worked in research and teaching at Humboldt-Universität Berlin between 1993 and 1997. Following his doctorate, he worked for several years at the German Council of Economic Experts (Sachverständigenrat zur Begututachtung der gesamtwirtschaftlichen Entwicklung). In 2001 he joined Feri Institutional Management, where he advised major institutional investors on strategic asset allocation and asset liability management. After further professional positions, he was Chief Economist of Sal. Oppenheim from 2012 to 2018. Dr. Martin Moryson has been a member of the Board of the Human Rights Foundation since 2003. He is married and has three children.
